In the three games Bowyer has been in charge, i thought we played we deserved the win against what was a pathetic and out of form Peterborough. Luton i thought we looked solid and compact but to the detriment of having no goal threat whatsoever. Still can't fathom out Oxford, we looked like a team who should go down in 24th place. A learning curve for Bowyer in how poor this squad is, that learning time isn't on Bowyers side though. The lack of width, pace and physicality will haunt us to the end of the season.

I believe Bowyer has actually quoted Anderson brings a little extra hight to our midfield.

    We'll win on Saturday!

If we don't I hope the City board are working on a list for who to take over as manager next season.

I fancy us to win tomorrow but we’ll still be relegated

Although Bowyer has not got the points we hoped he might get, it just goes to show what a poor bunch of players we have.
We had very little choice when Hopkin walked, do we stay with Drury or get someone in who has experiance at this level, it was a cards in the air situation hoping new manager bounce would pay off.
I'm sure all parties are aware of the situation if Bowyer can't turn our fortunes around, he will know he might not be here come May.

But little ability over other players we have in the squad, A poor excuse for picking a poor player castigated by his ex managers

It's all about results mate. He took the 11 games gig and he agreed to the contract until the end of the season plus he knew the players he had.

Can't make excuses! Bowyer isn't an idiot!

I want him to do well but no a chance currently he should be an automatic pick for next season if we go down. He needs to prove his worth.

Think we will win tomorrow, we need to win! No excuses!

if he keeps playing Clarke and Anderson over Payne and O'Brien we have no chance.

Realistically I think he has got the points that we expected but not what we hoped for. I thought we'd lose both our home games and beat Oxford. Nobody really gave us a chance in our home games seeing as though we were playing the leaders and Peterborough who we normally struggle against. 'If' we win on Saturday I think when Bowyer took over City fans would have been fairly pleased with 6 points from 12 when you take into consideration who the games were against.

Bit of positivity for a Friday **so funny**so funny**so funny

Yes he knew what was required (a miracle) but we don't know what was said at the time he signed that short term contract, I'd suggest it wasn't "keep us up or you walk in May".

4 games and you’ve wrote one off already.

    Unbelievable

Does the new man get 3 games in the new season and then he’s out if he’s crap?

There is a lot of people calling for O’Brien and Payne to play in the same side, but can they?

Can butterfield play too? And akpan?

It worked v Peterborough but is it going to work every week? I’d say not given where we are in the table and over a long period we seem to lose more than we win with those two playing.

I like them both and think they have been our two better players in a poor side, however playing them both together, do they mean we are more open and concede more goals with little protection for the back four?

    No, he gets longer.

Don't know why Bowyer took the job when he knew the terms or maybe even set them himself

I don't mind him starting with Anderson to help keep it tight early but I wouldn't be putting Billy Clarke in there as well. Start the same formation as Posh game and change it as the game evolves.

If you go back to period when we had our good run they played together and played well but we had O'Brien Snr or O'Connor as a defensive midfielder who's job was to break up play and give the more creative players the ball and let them do their thing. We could still do this but it would mean dropping Butterfield - which to me wouldn't be an issue.
    Akpan
    Ball O'Brien Payne

Infact, when you think about it we do have options
    Akpan
    Ball O'Brien Butterfield
    Payne
    Doyle

So what were the terms, we know his contract is only till the end of this season, what would the others terms be that he or the club set ?.

I agree. Despite their lofty position and jubilant manner ( in losing Oysten ), they have failed to win in 6.

    City 2-1 win.

Anderson offers nothing either attacking or defensively. Very poor player.
