Can't see anything but a thumping, sadly, as Bowyer tries to figure out a workable formation.

Has to be 4 3 3 really, but can't see that helping us against a side who smashed in 5 last week.

 

They won 4-2 Jon. But I agree with the sentiment. We are down, end of. All this hope, optimism et Al is against the reality of 12 wins in 56 league games and a manager bounce of 24%

 

Despite the new manager I predict the lowest attendance of the season too.

If those who put on the shirt aren’t bothered about our fortunes then that will be reflected in the stands unfortunately.

I disagree. I think a fair few stayaways will have been energised by the new appointment and turn up to give us one last chance for this season. A win could re-energiise us and you just never know. We really have to give it our all, players and fans alike, for one final push and if we go down don't let it be said that we didn't give it everything.

 

Well the only thing is their results have been up and down recently and on the whole not that great so let's hope tomorrow is the down following that good result.

Personally, other than the pre-season signings aside, I think it was pre-season that has mostly led to our demise. Collins spoke of playing ourselves into fitness but hardly played any first teamers in pre-season unlike you do normally. There was no 25 mins, then 45 mins, then 60 mins, then 90 mins for any of them, it was mostly the kids in pre-season so no wonder we were blowing out of our a@@s after 60 mins in the early games. No wonder Hopkin always spoke about fitness and doing double sessions! Plus Collins bizarre formations in those games...leads to lack of confidence and downward spiral. But saying that think Hopkin had enough time to turn it around but didn't.

To get a win today we need to stop the supply from Maddison. I would put a player on him all game with the instruction to stop him and mark him out of the game.

Use caddis and wood/Chicksen to provide some width going forward as wing backs?
