Possibly mate, Julian I would think will have the final say if for nothing more than Stefan "does not know football" and wants this situation sorting out asap, as do every Bradford City fan, but no certainties no matter who it is.

 

Im sure there will be many managers who have been in and out of football applying, its the nature of the game, very few prove themselves at one club, ultimately it usually ends in tears .

Nothing definite in football. Ranieri won the premier league. Look at Mansfield Town. Managed by Flitcroft who many would class as rubbish at Bury. Certain managers suit certain clubs at certain times. Stubbs worked wonders at Hibs then was awful at Rotherham. My point is who knows.

 

True, and the managers who tend to do better are those who are able to build their own teams, whereas we are asking someone to come in and perform miracles with a bunch of misfits that are nothing to do with them. Mind you, Solskjaer has manged to do it at Man U so you never know.

 

There was something poisonous there at ManUtd. I think personally think there’s a player there in Riley and even Wright. I never like ostracising players

I'd suggest anyone who takes the Bradford City job could have that sort of % rate, like it or not Parkinson and McCall were the only managers/coaches who had a descent win ratio and that was because they chose their own players, Parkinson was left to running the footballing side where as IMO the first closed season Stuart had a descent squad even though he added quality to the squad bringing in the likes of Doyle, Law, Vincelot, Hiwula, Cullen brought back, Nullity, Vuckic, all added to the players already here Darby, McMahon, McArdle, Meredith, Marshal, Dieng, Billy Clarke, that soon finished during the first January transfer window when players were brought in through the "committee's decision" we're told.

 

Seems the older generation want safe and boring.

Us younger people want Hurst or someone exciting

 

Generalisations don’t help, I just want a manager who going to be successful and that we can all get behind.

 

Which is true but with a population that Bradford has.

I am one of the older generation Fordy, and my first choice has always been Hurst, indeed, I was pushing for us to approach him, even before Hopkin resigned.
That said, Bowyer has always been my 2nd realistic choice, and I'm puzzled why you say safe and boring?

 

Out of the two Hurst should be number 1 pick.

Hurst is only 3 years younger than Bowyer, and I'm sure Bowyer is also fresh and hungry.

I would be happy with either. I reckon it will be Bowyer
