Absolutely not for me. Done a reasonable job at Rochdale over the years, but failed elsewhere. He always strikes me as a good fit where he is, but not elsewhere..

 

for me the stand out candidates that have done well at this level previously, are currently out of work and are realistic targets are michael appleton, paul hurst and gary bowyer.

unrealistic options are mark warburton, ian holloway and brian mcdermott. plus, maybe, steve cotterill.

The next manager needs to know the players.

There is no time for fresh starts and learning names on the job. There is no time for realising how weird our squad is, and how the majority of basic formations won't work because we have no wingers, no targetmen, and defenders who can't defend.

That's why I would go for Gary Jones until the end of the season.

so you want someone with no coaching or managerial experience, who has never set a team up tactically and who has probably played 99% of his playing career in the most basic of rigid 4-4-2 formations to come in and magically get us defensively sound by working out how to get the square pegs in round holes in a non-basic formation? not for me - not whilst we can still get out of this.

We have this obsession with ex players and managers where we only put their names forward for every job going.

There is a lot out there. I hope the owners and Rhodes are working overtime to get someone in this week. I do not want Drury in charge this Saturday

 

we also have a number of ex-players who like to talk the talk on the radio and social media but when questioned on if they'll be up for the job they run a mile.

No one mentioned Mark Bower, doing a great job with no budget at Bradford PA.Maybe his estate agency business would be his priority and better off staying part time with Avenue....he is 4/1 2nd fav at the bookies

 

None of them for me ! There's one man and one man only for this job ! Steve Evans he's the right man for what we need to somehow stay in this League (unlikely as it maybe ) and he's absolutely the stand out man to build a brute force Bradford City in League 2 and make absolutely no friends in doing so. Don't waste another blooming second on any of those others if you want this club dragging up by it's ragged arse !

 

not at all, but for them to say this and that needs to happen and continually bleat on about how much the club means to them you'd think they'd jump at the chance to get involved and help turn things around.
