No. Which is why I said we need a new striker and Scannell in the team. If they are in the team, you then drop Wood and perhaps Doyle. Having Doyle, Miller, Chicksen, McGowan and the other new signings on the bench means we have 16/17 decent players for L1 survival as opposed to the current 12/13

 

If we are banking on scannell think we need to throw in the towel now.

Akpan had a good game in what turned out to be an entertaining game after what was an insipid first half hour. A draw was a fair result in a game where both teams had decent spells of attacking posession.

And it’s irrelevant anyway. Just because @Fordy117 demands we win every game, it doesn’t suddenly become easier to do so.

A point at Burton is a good point, but only if we follow it up with 3 on Tuesday night and then at least 4pts in our next 2.

We've had nothing as bad as last Saturday, hence our biggest home defeat

We've had poor performances, but that isn't what I mean

That was a performance I reckon they'd be hard pressed to repeat. All the other defeats, I see been repeated if quickly played again

Pretty much tbf. But if one side deserved to shade it, we did.

 

And I don't think they're a bad side. It shows if we apply ourselves properly, we can do OK

 

The spell at the end was good but neither team dominated enough to warrant a win. We looked a lot sturdier with a back four where NKP was the partner for one of the other centre backs. A good point in the circumstances but i ain’t getting too excited. We still look weak upfront and wasted opportunities when in the final third.
Thay save off Akpans header was a worldie.

All very poor performances. There were a few others too, where we simply never turned up and got going, for example, Wycombe (h).

There was nothing ‘freaky’ last Saturday that hadn’t been witnessed by our fans already this season
