Burton sounded a decent enough team to me. I'd say all the others in that picture may still be in amongst it unless Scunny never lose!

 

His wage hasn't changed, it's just us paying more of it. I can't see it being an issue. For me, we've stopped getting him onto the ball in the right areas. We've been too direct.

 

He said that he was hoping to get one or two in by Monday rather than in total.

Could have had three but a win on Tuesday and I'd say 4 from 6 is a good return.

 

Without giving an easy 'out' I wonder how much is down to fitness?

I also think we misuse him. He's built like a tank but isn't really that physical. He's good on the ball though. We should be playing him as a more attacking midfielder.

 

Have you seen his skill to create our goal? Twisting and turning in the box. He’s class.

Just saying how much his fitness is improving and seeking help away from the club, showed today too.

 

It was nice to see us really turning the screw in the second half even after equalising. There was no sitting back and trying to take a point, we did everything to try and win the game and we’re unlucky not to do so. The final 5-10 minutes was really impressive, constant pressure moving the ball in their half, getting balls in the box and not letting them breathe. Just a shame we couldn’t get that 2nd goal.

I use the term 'freak' because it was a match where everything that could go wrong went wrong, i.e. don't concede when a CB is bedding at LB etc. I've seen some bad performances both nothing as bad as that

 

You mean the entire 90 minutes except the minute before half-time when switching off cost us 2 points?

 

He's a player that has to be 100% fit and that's probably why he in the lower reaches of L1. Hopefully, he's now there - because he is a very intimidating presence in midfield, who needs to be a bit more intimidating!!

I think you get the point. All teams switch off for a couple of seconds - last weekend it was about 60 minutes.

 

Had £40 quid on Burton to win and both teams to score today @ 11/4. It's a win win bet if city win. Bloody draws a disappointment but could be the point that keeps us up.
