If we play like today (i.e. fully focussed for the entire 90 minutes for once!!) we'll be fine

18 matches left - any sides within 9 points are realistically catchable and realistically in the relegation race

I'm just pleased that last week, as I mentioned at the time, seems to be one of those freak performances any side can have

 

5 days for us to bring in impact players that will get us out of the rut, out of the bottom 4 and climb towards safety.

Sorry Fordy but I'm not going to criticise any of the players today - they all put a right shift in and never gave up. Yes of course we need to pick up as many points as possible nobody is disputing that, but it wasn't through lack of effort today that we didn't come away with all 3 points.

 

By the sound of the radio commentary he was without doubt our MOTM, Hopkin talking signings early next week.

Bottom line is we needed the win and didn't get it!

Effort doesn't matter, performances don't matter.. just the 3 points matter!

 

Its taken him 5 months to have a very good game, ironic it came against his old club. Lets hope he can have a good consistent run now

Akpan was excellent. Several levels above anything has shown so far this season. Against his former club. Begs the question, where have these performances been and has he only upped his game because of the opposition?

Most were a 7 today. Akpan an 8. Payne was quiet, maybe a 6. Doyle worked hard but wasnt dangerous. Also a 6. LOB ran his bits off, probably an 8 there too.

New lad at left back was steady, in a good way.

We were the better team and their keeper had more to do.

 

Without doubt, but if teams above us get beat (and we do our job) no team likes looking over their shoulder, but ultimately it's down to us performing.

Fordy forgets there are two team playing both with aspirations. Of course to win every match is the ambition if not get a point and move on hopefully with new signings to three matches out of four at home with good chances of getting points
