Why do I think he might have been going? I don’t, and you don’t. However. The last time he was loaned out, Huddersfield did exactly that. We also know he was getting praise from other managers. He also cane out with all the same quotes when at Oxford. So as we don’t both know for sure, based on historic evidence and quotes it was far more likely he was going until we offered to pay more.

It seems pretty obvious there was interest from other club's in Jack Payne, it's been confirmed as much on here, and had we done nothing Town would have likely moved him on.

But we didn't do nothing, and we kept him as a result of re-negotiating his loan.
