    Or get our local media to actually report something? Surely they should be able to find out from the club as to what the situation is? Fans don’t need to know the ins and outs, just whether a case has been put together and whether that’s waiting CPS to agree to charges or not?

    Surely the reporting is in the best interests of everyone?

    The club will probably not be aware of the case has been passed to CPS for consideration. Usually the defendendant wouldn’t be aware of the stage of their case until they are charged.

    As for reporting it wouldn’t surprise me if there aren’t reporting restrictions in place to protect the identity of the victim
