I understand your point mate but this is not true......

"The police will charge him if they think there is sufficient evidence to send to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Then, if he is charged, the CPS will weigh all the evidence again"

The police don't charge unless the CPS say charge, and once they do say charge that is it. The case will be prepared for court (not weighed up again) - the cps would however work closely with the police on the run up to the trail in order to firm up a case in the hope of getting the guilty verdict.

The forensic evidence should be available by now. The witnesses interviewed and statements available. I would assume the CPS and Police will decide whether the information is likely to satisfy the criminal level, burden of proof ‘beyond reasonable doubt’.
If it goes to court, the matter could take some time before getting a listing date.

This is true - the case will now be sat on somebody's desk awaiting a charging decision. I suspect this case will result in a charge and a trial. These cases usually go to court particularly when the accused is in the public eye. I would take much notice of 'beyond reasonable doubt' all sorts of tripe gets to court these days.

How do you infer that from the picture?

Exactly! Pointless posting that he's been out in Birmingham - so what?

Crimes considered heinous by society have no statute of limitations. There is no limit - this case could go on for a long time. Don't expect a decision anytime soon.

I didn’t say a decision. I said movement. When his police bail is up in a few days it can not be extended without going before a judge. For this to happen it will get a listing, and possibly reported about.

I guess this is a telling piece of advice for the CPS.

4.4 In most cases prosecutors should only consider whether a prosecution is in the public interest after considering whether there is sufficient evidence to prosecute. However, there will be cases where it is clear, prior to reviewing all the evidence, that the public interest does not require a prosecution. In these instances, prosecutors may decide that the case should not proceed further.

Rather than try to type something up myself, here is the CPS advice for the evidential test.

    The evidential test
The prosecutor must first decide whether or not there is enough evidence against the defendant for a realistic prospect of conviction.

This means that the magistrates or jury are more likely than not to convict the defendant of the charge. If there is not a realistic prospect of conviction, the case must not go ahead, no matter how important or serious it may be.

It is the duty of every Crown Prosecutor to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence. In doing so, Crown Prosecutors must always act in the interests of justice and not only for the purpose of obtaining a conviction.

Genuine question-do we actually know what he was arrested for? You seem to be sure its a heinous crime he committed and its going to court.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, no link to any allegations against any particular person, one would imagine that a criminally underfunded criminal justice system would not spend months gathering and reviewing evidence if the allegations were of a crime that did not carry the probability of a custodial sentence if found guilty.

Read Stories of the law and how it is broken, it will open your eyes.

Well as posted earlier we are not allowed to make comment on the type of allegation. I know what I think..... I'm sure everyone else will have their own thoughts.
It will all come out in the wash as they say.....

He's still suspended and more than likely still waiting on a charging decision. No charge has been reported and I think that would be in the media if it was to happen.

Despite people speculating he's returning 'soon' (months back) he's clearly not coming back anytime soon.

In other news ex Sunderland and England player Adam Johnson is due to be released from prison in 6 months time.

In the case of certain players at the club, it's best to leave speculation and wild accusations well alone. Let the situation run its course and wait for an official announcement.

But it's not that black and white. Let's imagine (I have no idea if this is the case - let me make that clear) an incident has occured that involves a vulnerable (anyone in a non-playing trainee role) employee, that whilst illegal it simply could have severely broken club discipline.

We've all heard of many an incident in footie that is perfectly legal, but had made that persons position untenable. This could be such a case

I know a manager who was sacked for having an affair with a young trainee, who unfortunately happened to be the daughter of the Office Manager - nothing illegal happened and he was still asked to leave (not judging by the way)

And an England manager was sacked for his religious beliefs. That couldn’t happen in 2018 in this PC brigade culture we live in.
I wonder if his recent heart attack has anything to do with his crimes in a past life.

It would be a brave club who took a punt on Johnson.
