Not for me. Give me the most boring 1-0 win ever and I’d be happy. 1 shot on target scored via a deflection would be perfect

 

I'm not even that greedy, I'll take a misplaced bckpass that goes through the keepers legs for a 1-0 win.

 

Keep up the attack, and for goodness sake get some solidity into our defence. If we can master that we have a team on our hands.

 

Given the state of our defence and our new found goalscoring habit I think he has to go for it. No point in trying to nick a 1-0 win given the errors we make at the back. Our best hope is to attack and keep up the recent 3 or 4 goals per game trend.

 

If we play like we did in the 2nd half of normal time last night I will be well happy (clapper even)! We played on the front foot and some of the interplay between Payne. O'Brien and Ball was a joy to watch and Peterborough couldn't cope with it. Miller was harassing the Posh defenders and chasing every ball down (a continuation of what he did at Plymouth on Saturday). Even Hope Akpan made a big contribution last night. We look a lot better when we play on the front foot.
It was only the extra quality of Toney and Maddison that kept Peterborough in the game.

Indeed - and yet a win seems equally feasible to me!

 

No we're not. Peterborough are in the same boat.

 

Well, we’re not that tough - draw or loss, you can cross ‘win’ off any predictions.

 

Don't be obtuse. No one thinks that leaking three or four goals per game is progress.

The point is that in October we were leaking three or four goals per game against poor teams and yet couldn't buy a goal ourselves. The fact that we are now scoring regularly is progress. Only a fool or a professional curmudgeon like you would fail to acknowledge that.
The leaky defence hasn't improved and isn't likely to until we can get some better players in in January. So, in the meantime, we have to be positive and score more goals than we leak.

Ball, Payne and Miller are in form, now - so a goal a piece from them.

 

But the fact is we're not doing that!
