I can only remember this being done once in the bad times back when Peter Taylor was manager against Stockport County, usually they were offered to get a big backing for the team when they were going well.

 

Well lets stay with what we have then, would you be happier with that situation, and for an Edin hater I thought I was being possitive.

 

I'm amazed there are so many people wetting themselves about this. It does absolutely nothing as regards the actual problem. A lot of normally level-headed people seem to have turned gullible at the merest fluttering of Julian's eyelashes.

Totally agree. The problem has merely been moved slightly to one side but still firmly in the background.

We now have a PR, a link to the fans (LOL) who seems to have got straight on the phone to supporters clubs, social media personalities (Banter boys) and people like width of the post/city gent to try build bridges but also in the knowledge that they'll post it on social media that they've already had dialogue with Rhodes and that the future could be brighter than it has been. Very clever from Rhodes.

 

Trying to do things? This ain’t a gesture of kindness or goodwill, its a gesture of complete desperation. Jeez, we’re one step away from paying people to turn up. The reality is pretty bloody simple. You want the crowds back? Then get rid of Rahic and start getting the results on the pitch. Gestures like a quid a game aren’t gonna wash now with a large majority of our fan base. Real action is needed not empty gestures.

I like that they are looking at initiatives but seriously you can’t give ST’s away at the moment. Because of Rahic fans are not coming when it costs them nothing. It’s a start but they have got to do harder. Signing some quality out of contract players and then declaring their intent and making money available for Hopkin to identify and then bring in players in January is what we need to hear. Otherwise nothing has changed.
