I have serious doubts that this could happen. Rahic would have known more than anybody that as a minority shareholder, his position is a weak one and would have put controls in place to have avoided this outcome. His and Rupp's relationship appears to be based on mutual business interests and not past friendships. Some might regard him as arrogant but he is no fool and I doubt he would be so idiotic to have placed himself in such a precarious position.

But if you want to really understand this then a word with an expert on German company shareholding rules would be a good starting point.

Mark Lawn may well be a gob shite, and I was far from his biggest fan but we’d be better off if he got it back.

Altho that’s not saying much - we’d be better off with anyone in charge than the current idiots at the helm.

You keep saying this but why, Edin would be the minority share holder so would have very little influence on decision making ?.

Depends on how the shares have been set up. Without any more details it is guess work. An example was the previous owner set up. There were three owners each with a third of the shares but only two thirds of them were voting shares.

I posted a while ago. The difference in net spend, over the last four seasons (this and last v the last two of the previous regime) was about £0.5m (sorry might be £300k) i.e. the new regime have spend more than the Lawn one. Plus the Lawn one had the money from two cup runs

Explain again, why we will be better off

Is it April 2019 and we're in MK Dons position? Did Rosler get the job?

    Yes

I got it off one of the many websites, where you can get the transfer records

In fairness it's easy to see that this would be the difference

In fairness, it doesn't give all the answers, i.e. maybe Lawn etc did spend significantly more on wages. Problem is with that, is that unless we invest in 'promising' 19 to 24 year olds, we're forever in an 'Oldham' cycle

I'm all for the owners going. That's if f the brother of whoever own Man City fancies buying us, I'll personally by the tickets for Edin to leave ;)

As you agree, we need to be careful what we wish for.

    Wyke? No
    Poleon? Yes
Reeves? No. Was fine before his injury
McCartan? Juries out. Has shown flashes of something, but nowhere near enough. Let's see if he can improve

On the other hand we could have gone and paid in fortune for Kieran Agar, two seasons ago. Because that's clearly worked for MK Dons

None of it either big wages or speculating on talent, guarantees success

You can use the Kieran Agard example all you want but the fact is for every Bury or MK Dons you've got plenty of success stories.

Spending big (or the average for a top 6 side) in this league more or less guarantees success. Look at Blackburn, Wigan, Wolves, Sheffield Utd, Bolton, Preston, Millwall to name a few who went up all having good top 6 budgets for this division.

There is no guarantee with anything in football. I was talking to a Huddersfield fan this morning who told me they dropped their wage bill to 9.5 million after a poor season the season before and won promotion. Thats peanuts compared to other sides in the division. So it can be done and after what was a very poor season beforehand. Only way to find out is to see what happens at the start of next season. What worries me more than the wage budget is the apparent disharmony off the field. This needs to be sorted out before the club can go forward as does the managerial role which is in limbo at the moment.

Not really. If he only owns 25% and any new owners own the rest then he can be practically frozen out of all decisions.
