I'll repeat it again if you want. If they are telling people willy nilly then they are not building a look of a professional set up as that is how rumours get out. Would you want to do business with someone knowing that everything you say to them will be told to friends who will then tell their friends etc. I wouldn't.

I think i've said this before, Lawn and Rhodes sold for one reason and that was because they were happy with the offer made. You are right it had nothing to do with the benefit of the club, they just wanted their money. Nothing wrong with that.

Can't say a consortium (horrible word in football btw, never usually ends well "too many cooks" and all that) led by Mark Lawn participatory excites me, unless he's found some rich business man or women willing to spunk a lot of cash. The same Mark Lawn who claimed he'd sold to safe hands, who we're going to take us forward the man's a gob shite and I can't believe some are lapping him up as a saviour.

At this point I aren't to arsed either way though atm, too those who are desperate for this to go through, don't get your hopes up to much that's all I'll say on the matter.

You are right there is nothing wrong with just taking the money. It is the making out that you are doing it for the good of the club that is questionable

This is true and if they took the money whilst saying" hey, we don't give a shit who's taking the club on"they would have been crucified. Having said that, I do believe they thought the club was going to move forward with improved investment from the German contingency

 

They would be crazy to sell the club for that !!

Spot on. My only problem is when one claims it is for the benefit of the club, then comes riding back a couple of years later trying to play the hero to rescue us and some lap it up. Egotistical just like the person they constantly blame for everything.

 

It would depend on how much debt the club has taken on since the original sale

You've been on C&B and here long enough when another poster makes that comment it's a bit of banter, I don't see what's misrepresented your the one suggesting it's that "gob shite" Mark Lawn someway involved in any future bid no one else.

 

No one has, I was the first to mention him as the ones who have heard the takeover bid rumours were for whatever reason not mentioning names. Those that have hear the rumours haven't come to me and said he isn't involved though.

I'll tell you what I'll apologise on here if Mark Lawn isn't part of the consortium, but I rarely apologise.

 

If you believe a few on here that's how their interpreting it .
