A cross doesn't always have to be aimed at a person though Broncs. Wingers should be able to expect that if they continuously put the ball in good areas then other players will have the intelligence to make the right runs and get on the end of a few.

 

So Bobby made the cross look decent, I'll take that, I'm not picky how we get the 3 points.

Managers like Warnock and probably GA himself would talk about "percentages". Putting high volumes of balls into good areas rather than searching specifically for a team mate is all about those percentages and it's been pretty effective for decades.

 

Most crosses in are just luck of the draw, how many times do you hear yourself saying if only there was some one on the end of that. The general rule of thumb is the percentage rule, that the more you get in the box the more likely you are to have someone on the end of one. But like wth corners, all about getting it in the sweet spot around the six yard box and then hoping one of your players gets on the end of it, more often than not it's cleared via the head of a central defender.

That's what I posted in my orginal reply to yourself, Bobby did exceptionally well to get to the ball never mind score, Jackson also did well to get past the defender to get the cross in.

 

Isn't that my original comment it was a ball in (Jackson did well to get around his defender) and Bobby lost his defender and scored a good header, although if it had been a similar header against us we would be questioning the keepers positioning.

I think these two are probably the best of the regular L1 YouTube analysts.

 

Is it poor by the recruitment team that in the last 3 windows we haven't been able to find suitable replacements for Bobby or Sarce, who continue to be the only attacking players who regularly start in the first 11. I'm not complaining by the way, but either get injured and we always seem to struggle to score or create. Seeing that we've scored so few this season, that has to be a concern.

 

I would hope they did look and were possibly priced out of the market for like for like players and Alexander believes in Lapslie, Humphrys, Jackson and Swan he has cover.
Tonight's team selection will be interesting with regards said players.
