Of course we did ,Im talking about this season and how little if anything we’ve made from the league cup despite getting to round four. You need either a lucrative draw and a main TV game to make money from this cup.

Yeah, hence the reason last night's draw from a monetary perspective was awful, no guarantee we beat Peterborough.

Indeed the draws have been rubbish this season, getting Leyton Orient and now Peterborough, maybe we’ll get Arsenal in the quarter finals.

Reported we havent even made 6 figures from this cup run. That being said, im all for progression and Posh at home in the next round is superb IMO. Only Fleetwood would have bettered it!

Win that, and im confident we will then get the money spinner in the QFs. Id fancy us with a chance at home to an Everton or Fulham/Palace.

That or Brighton would be horrific. Half a day round trip and a 3-0 towelling. Plus money would be shite.

Wonder if the Norwich fans enjoyed their long midweek trip to Manchester just to get a dry bumming from their reserves. Horrific day out but the money is good so that’s ok?

Yeh a 5-0 humping against reserves and kids.

Give me Posh at home and a chance of the QF!

It's horses for courses, our situation is nothing like Norwich's. They have a rich backer and are in the championship which brings in a lot more money through other revenue streams. £500k to them is nothing but go ask those who run our club if it's nothing. Until we get a rich benefactor, then I'll happily take big cup draws and get thrashed if it brings much needed revenue to the club. If you of anyone you know has the sort of money to buy us and not make a trip to somewhere to Man City worth while then go for it, we will all be happy.

I’m not saying we as a club don’t need the money but is that what cups are all about?
The cost for fans to travel to somewhere like Arsenal in midweek and probably not even see a first team player but still get thrashed, what’s the point from a fans perspective?
Are we suggesting that if we’d got a money spinner in round 2 then we just take the money, accept defeat, move on until next season?
I’m happy with Posh at home for a great chance of progression. Furthermore I’d be happy with Fleetwood in the QF if they were to beat Arsenal.
Get the worst team left in semis, reach the final, win the final, play in Europa league.
If fans can’t dream, what’s the point?

I'm saying get as far as possible, but there is nothing wrong with a money-spinner tie and getting thrashed; your post seemed like it was a bad thing. My point is, it is a bad thing for Norwich but they don't need money as a club like we do. If getting thrashed brings us better players and helps us get promoted, then I'll take it every day of the week. See my previous post about the Peterborough draw, I've not said it's a bad one.

As for fans going to Arsenal mid-week, we'd sell out. Most likely because fans are used to going to shit holes like Fleetwood for years. Would you have wanted to miss out on Chelsea because we were likely to be thrashed? If it's a 50/1 shot that we beat one of these teams, most fans would still take the costs and go to be there to witness it first-hand. Supporting Bradford City with our recent cup history should answer that question for you tbh.

Should close the top tiers for this and at least try to create a hostile atmosphere.

Close the top tier of the main stand and I won't be attending, its bad enough having no choice for away games I don't want to be sat next to some of those fans at Valley Parade.

Me and our lad had the choice of changing seats anywhere in the stadium with regards the 25 year deal, if we chose the main stand and hospitality we got our season ticket free but had to pay for the suite upgrade, some who have sat in the hospitality area don't like the view but I prefer it, I certainly couldn't go back to sitting behind the goal on a regular basis, far from a prawn sandwich fan, you get used to the people around you and we don't have any obnoxious fans as we get at times when going to away games.

I don't think so as all games in the competition are on at least Sky Sports+ so it will likely be covered under the fees clubs automatically get under the TV deal.
