Bus pass what's that, if I had one I'm not sure I go on a bus now a days, in fact it must be well over 20 years since my last experience of taking a bus in Bradford, not reduction for the McCall/Hendrie suite .

I should have been watching from a bar in Chania Crete, but thanks to the feck up with the air traffic system on Tuesday my holiday got canned.

Have just booked a flight to Agadir, Morocco for 160 Dirham - 16 quid! I find it fascinating that its cheaper to go to Africa than it is Liverpool on the train!
Was going there originally for 2 weeks, catch a last bit of sun before winter kicks in, but quickly realised that the 'Udders game fell on the 31st. So I'll certainly returning for that, just not in time for the Peterborough game.
I imagine we'll win, and probably should consider staying away for the derby.. our form while i'm over there has been superb in the past.. I went to Morocco for 2 and a half month back in the promotion season, and the moment I left was when our season really began to pick up. I remember watching Cook's amazing goal against Port Vale at home whilst in Rabat, and thinking bloody eck! if I stay out here a bit longer, we're gonna win the title! I really think we would've done.. My first game back was the 1-0 home loss to Tranmere! The first loss at home since the month I left haha!
Absolutely Love Morocco. I've been there a few times over the years and have made some great friends. There is nothing I could say to do justice to the warm hospitality and generosity of the Moroccan people.

 

People like what they like. But having been to Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, I'm a believer that if they had a northern European climate, people wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. I've found the North African states to be shitholes tbh, but a lot of people do like them. Each to their own. Anyway, I'll leave the Geopolitics alone.

 

I'm trying to find somewhere sunny to go in November, and North Africa has crossed my mind. I've been to Hurghada and Agadir, and it was ok just a bit soul less. I prefer to go somewhere that has a bit of history, nightlife and a restaurant scene, rather than be trapped in the all inclusive hotel fighting for plates on the buffet section. Sharm and other places in Egypt are popular destinations from Estonia, but that generally means the Russian population - nothing against the majority of them, but they do have a certain manner on holiday which rubs me up the wrong way. If it had been the beginning of this month, we'd probably be looking at Croatia/Montenegro/Albania.

Looking at Turkey (went last year) and Cyprus. The Mrs won't go to the Canaries because its too windy apparently.

 

Unless you are going to do long haul I think your best bet in November in Europe is the Algarve. Not baking hot but better than here, and I am guessing Estonia too. Eastern Mediterranean likely a bit stormy.

We went to Paphos in Cyprus in mid November a couple of years ago. It was 24/25° and sunny the whole week. Plenty of history, bars and restaurants. Obviously not as lively as the summer but we loved it.

 

Went to agadir in June and enjoyed it so much that I've booked again to go back next September.

 

Yeah we went during Covid in August. Might try again when it’s less hot and more people
