5 games in 14 days. Mr A will need to understand the whole capabilities of this team

The same feeling we had when we got Orient away in the last round but we went there and did a job.
Posh fans might be disappointed with the draw as we are but they should also believe it’s winnable especially if we field second string with one eye on the Town game at the weekend.
The flip side of the coin is I’ve seen Brighton fans disappointed they drew Man City away when what they really wanted was a home game against us, Posh or Fleetwood.

Yeah, I was worried for a while that I'd cursed us to a long away trip on a Wednesday night but I needn't have been as we've ended up with the plum draw of the round.

It's a great chance to progress to the quarter finals. If you're not going to draw one of the top 6 then a winable game at home is the next best thing.

Problem with this cup is the absence of prize money, to have a chance of reaching an FA cup quarter final would have earned the club a lot of money. This cup though just relies on gate money and hopefully the main match on SKY, but we’ll get neither,in fact with players bonuses to pay we’ve probably made a loss on the competition,so hopefully we win and get a great draw in quarter finals. I remember Mark Lawns comments on the last cup run that we hadn’t made anything until the Arsenal quarter final.

Didn't we get a split of the gate receipts from a full house at St James Park last season?

On paper it’s a good chance to progress but let’s not underestimate Peterborough.

Didn't hear the host but was referring to our name on the list that was missing the "City". As usual.

Sparks or Sharpe (can't remember which one) said we made around £400k from last seasons cup run, it's certainly worth trying to progress for that big tie. As with our last long run in this competition, it looks like the football gods are going to make us jump through hoops for a plum tie. But win Peterborough and I think we'll be well compensated.

It's a very good incentive for the players. If they believe in themselves it's definitely winnable and could see them not only get that game they all want against premier league opponents, but also the opportunity to be quarter finalists in a major cup competition.

Alexander is a law unto himself, he'll do what he thinks is the best to get through to the next round with a few hints here and there that monies generated from a decent ;) draw will help with his Jan player budget ?.

I believe there is a £125,000 TV facility fee to clubs in round 3, 4 and 5, if their match is picked for one of the main channels (Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Football).

We have virtually no chance of being picked for round 4 but, as all round 5 (quarter final) matches are shown on the main channels, there is every financial incentive for us to try and progress, for both the TV money and a share of big gate that a quarter final place would bring.

It seems somewhat mercenary to be talking about the financial benefits rather than the sporting benefits but, if we want to progress as a Club, that is the nature of the beast that is football today.

What makes people think ITV won't be all over the Bradford v Peterborough tie........

Can't we make a deal with Liverpool and Chelsea that between us they have a lower league tie. I'm sure Peterborough will run with that. Say we have Liverpool and Chelsea have Peterborough.

Apart from a big club back at VP (my preference) this is about as good a draw as we could have hoped for IMO.

A great opportunity to get our place in the quarter finals. A Chelsea, Newcastle or Liverpool at ours would be immense.

I think we beat Peterborough, then get Bournemouth away.
