Theoretically, is GA going anywhere?

We arent rivals with Bransley, Preston and Burnley are rivals. Blackpool and Blackburn main rivals to them but its definitely a secondary.

 

Would say I am worried now I’ve heard the bbc clip and more importantly seen his facial and body language. He looked anguished to me. Think he’s been approached for sure.

 

Have slightly more confidence given we got Sharpe but still worry about our overall football acuremen. Betting man id say GA gone with Leam Richardson to replace

Last year Sharpe spoke so glowingly about him I think whatever compo they’ll chuck it at him. Just a hunch. I was of the camp going nowhere but now not so sure.

 

Did Raynor ask if he'd been approached? Looking at the body language and listening to what he's saying, somethings gone on and he's in turmoil. I hope he doesn't go, but I'm old enough and daft enough to know that he'll be off if we don't get up this time around, or probably sooner so it doesn't look like he get get us over the line.

 

Don’t think he will go but he has left it open for his own benefit, which I don’t blame him for. Personally think Preston will go for Steve cooper.

 

Raynor didn't ask that question but we all know Alexander never talks about other clubs players signing for us until it's a done deal likewise managerial speculation will be dealt with in the same fashion he's such a pokerface is our Graham gives nothing away.
Raynor will have read Alexander's body language during today's presser and he will no doubt have an idea in his head if something is going on.

Has anybody been asked if contact has been made?

 

I was on the Preston forum and someone who knows Graham well which is perfectly plausible said he’s had no contact.

 

I read nothing into that interview beyond "I've got enough shit to deal with already, I really don't need this right now". He looks to me like a guy who loves football, but not the business of football. I think he's invested in project City, hope I'm right

 

I think everyone needs to calm down. Firstly if any approach has been made it will be to the club first and foremost. I didn’t see anything other than a being uncomfortable talking about the situation, which if you think about it he would be. He actually said he has 25 players to take care of. We all think that he must be thinking about 24/7 but I doubt it very much and he is probably letting his agent and the club deal with any approach from Preston.


He is a professional through and through and will not do anything other than by the book. He also will not want to let this club, players and the fans down. That will happen if he goes to Preston and if things don’t go well which is a strong possibility given the takeover.

He has done an amazing job here and it is in noway done. If he leaves all his good work may go to pot. I just hope the club have his contract well protected. However, Preston have a billionaire in the waiting room so they won’t be put off by a large transfer fee.

I don’t like all this talk about managers changing clubs it is massively disruptive.

No idea whether you're correct in your reading of the situation or not but if there has been some sort of approach, I could well believe that he will be in turmoil. He loves being our manager and I think he sees an opportunity to achieve even greater success with us than he has already, whether that be another promotion and/or one or two very good cup runs. On the other hand, there will be lots about the Preston job that would appeal to him so there's no way he wouldn't give it some serious consideration if he was offered it. Hopefully Preston haven't approached him and have no intention of doing so then he won't have that difficult decision to make.

 

If they offer him the job then he's off, its not even a debate in my opinion. It's the biggest opportunity in his managerial career and he's taking it if approached.
