When will Beesley bag one for City?

Lets give the guy a bit of a chance, we're 4 games in to a new season, in a team that's clearly going through a bit of a transitional period, whilst trying to sort it's midfield out.

There's a fair amount of expectation on him, he's been brought in as the main striker, which brings pressure, but he's never been prolific and has also been signed to do the lone strikers job, which allows his teammates to flourish, and so far it hasn't clicked as well as we'd have liked.

Had he taken a few chances it might have gone differently,, but also had we started with a more stable midfield and Bobby/Sarc around him, his integration in to the team might have gone a lot smoother.

 

Today !!.

 

He is not a professional footballer. I don't believe it at all. Ok, he fluffed a free header and eventually got it to Sarcevic to score, but his movement, passing and awareness is that of a Sunday league player

 

His poorest game today but he wasn’t alone. Worst 45 minutes I’ve seen in a while at home.

 

Waste of a shirt and money. Looks very poor. Runs around a lot but contributes little and is no real gosl threat.

 

Erm....mebbe not then.

 

Was very poor today. Even his assist was a third bite at the cherry. Misplaced passes only added to his overall poor play. Bloke is a bit broken methinks. Benching him the best option, but that will only take his morale lower. A conundrum.

 

Who would start up front
Certainly not Powell, Jackson possibly and we all know Humps can’t play there , even if GA would pick him

 

And there’s our transfer window in a nut shell.

 

He's feeding off scraps with the ball being lobbed in his general direction like all our strikers of the last 18 months. He does well to get any part of his body on the ball and when he does he then has to get his balance. Everyone in the no9 shirt has failed because our tactics and passing are pretty poor.

 

Every season, a target for the fans passive aggression is picked.
No one giving golden bollocks Pointon any pasty for fluffing 1 v 1s.
Most giving Phillips Time.
Jackson is a Bradford lad so it slides.

 

I would bench him to be honest he is floundering and every game without a goal isn't doing his confidence any good
Massive problem is who replaces him Jackson isn't a goalscorer Powell is a bit of a waste to be honest good player but can't last more than 30 mins (who sanctioned keeping him) !! Humph isn't a centre forward either after that am struggling
I do think there is a player in there it's just how to get the best out of him big mistake not signing a back up/strike partner for him on a brighter note I have backed him to score anytime in every match so far am not going to anymore so bound to find the net now

 

I thought he started well today, helped by the fact that Pointon, Sarcevic and occasionally Phillips were actually getting near to, and playing off, him. But you could see his confidence drain as the game went on.

 

He gets a lump out of defence onto his head , 40 yards from goal, for most of the match - its dogs work playing centre forward for us. missing Tyreik Wright's threat and crosses in big time, Touray is so poor going forward.

 

Is that why he struggled to pass the ball 5 yards under absolutey no pressure whatsoever?

He started off poorly and just continued to get worse. Should have been hooked around the hour mark when it was clear he'd become a passenger.

 

Not sure how this accounts for his inadequate attempts to challenge their centre half in the air, his lack of pace, his lack of runs in behind, his hesitancy and propensity to be easily tackled when he has the ball to feet, his inability to pass. I'm not sure how much mileage there is in the feeding off scraps excuse when he doesn't seem to offer much when he's brought into the play. I don't want his head to drop and I think a big part of his under performance is that his confidence has been knocked but that performance today is well below the required standard.

 

Anyone who can’t see what Beesley has brought to our team is clueless. He’s just what we needed and works his socks off to boot . POTY when the goals do come .

 

I was with you until today's game.. I thought he was truly ineffective today 90% of the time.
