    Christmas Eve, got out of car next to office, half an hour later, no wallet, morning spent ringing Visa, Access, Amex and bank. Still had a wedge so into the pub next door lunchtime, Dopey Doris landlady, "Glad you're in, found a wallet by your car"

    Funnily enough, I only realised when I went to pay for a pint. Then had the joy of ringing the bank, while in the pub, with an excitable spaniel wanting to say hello/bark to everyone.

    Thought I’d lost a credit card in Majorca years ago.

    Clearing out the room safe the night before we flew home and somehow the card got stuck in the hinge of the door.
    I was adamant that I’d checked the safe and no sign of card.
    Turned room upside down but no sign.
    Mrs bbb gets on phone to bank and cancels.

    Can’t believe it’s not in safe so look again and finally find it.

    Oh how we laughed when I held it up for her to see 5 minutes after she gets off the phone.
