    I think if one of those early chances had gone in we would have seen a very different player. Amazing how confidence can affect a footballer

    Don't think anyone covered themselves in glory there. Walker once started should have just gone through everyone rather than stopping but the defending itself wasn't great. That said I would rather this happened in pre season than a league game and will that backline and GK be the starters come the Peterborough game.

    The very reason we have signed competition for Walker this summer, and not last summer, or even next summer is simple. GA has doubts over Walker like alot of fans did last season.

    If he was still convinced, we would have Hilton or similar as back up for the 3rd year running.

    Luke Oliver was a better striker for us than Vadaine :)

    Yes given his run at Gillingham, he did well, but if you dig a little deeper you can see that over the 113 games prior to that, he scored a mere 12 goals. So that is virtually an average of 1 goal every 9.4 games or about 5 goals a season. That was a spell with 3 different clubs. So what we see are sporadic stints of scoring. Since leaving City he has apparently played 48 games, for 3 clubs and scored a total of 6 goals. His total record is poor, inconsistent with only one really decent spell.

    Has Walker started all of the friendlies?

    McCracken will soon be no. 1 IMO. He’s not signed to be a bench warmer and we needed to upgrade.

    walker’s been great overall but struggled a bit in latter part of season.
