Park if you had your way it be team full of loanees or players getting paid a lump of coal.

 

I'm just hoping that some of the 3 new signings GA's wanting to make have got some quality otherwise with the squad we've got i think we'll struggle next season.

 

Didn’t one of our higher ups mention something about an eye opening signing coming a few weeks ago? Did it ever happen?

At the forum , the head of recruitment can’t remember his name did but we signed Cartwright since then so maybe it was him ! I think we need more than 3 if am honest the depth in the squad is looking good overall.

I must say I'm struggling to get excited beyond Phillips, Gilhespey and Beesley. We are so so short in midfield. We given the run around Bolton in the play offs in that area. They had pace, thought, movement that we can only dreamed of. We are way short. We'll be okay but I'm looking at us being mid table this year. Anything above that would be success.

 

I agree, but there is also a lot of pressure on Beesley to be a success because our other options were all here last season and they didn't get the job done.

Our transfer business in the midfield area has been a train wreck on my opinion.

It is starting to feel a little bit like January. Many of us said back then that we just needed 2 or 3 quality signings to help get us over the line. They never happened, we brought in a bunch of players who may as well not have been here and unsurprisingly, we fell short in the end.
I don't think our recruitment has been poor this summer, but it definitely feels like we are 2 or 3 real quality additions short of being a squad that can compete for top 6 again. There's still plenty of time though so hopefully they will come.

 

Bolton won promotion with loanees and Cardiff and Lincoln had their share. We have brought six on fees a couple of loans won’t harm

 

The triallists have been here for a few weeks and our manager who has a very successful track record at this club has had ample time to judge. If any of them sign they will have earned it

 

think we should wait and see how they all perform. this time last year, people on here were criticising the signing of power, saying that he would not be playing enough games.

 

the cost of loans differ though. no way can we afford the loans that bolton had last season.

 

GA isn't very good at loans, let's just focus on signings.

 

We got Jacobs from Rotherham after a full season played.

 

Bolton won promotion with loanees costing £10,000+ per week. We arent paying that regardless of it being a loan or a permanent signing so you constantly bringing up Boltons loanees as a great example to follow is nonsense.
