Player probably signing a contract that will help set him up after football, nowt wrong with that. I guarantee you pretty much every footballer would do the same.

 

He's doing what everyone else would do and going where is best for his future and his family. This gets brought up a lot but the reality is that 99% of players who've ever signed for Bradford City have done as it is the best contract for them and their family, despite what they say in their interviews crowd sizes are very low on their consideration for signing for a club. If that was the case then we wouldn't need to make a 7 figure loss every season as we wouldn't need to pay the higher wages.

You don't pay your mortgage with "I play in front of 20,000" or "I play league 1 football". If he's got himself a pay rise and long term contract then good for him.

I don't think Wrexham fans cared when they were in the National League and signing players like Mullin, Palmer, Tozer etc who were dropping 1 or 2 divisions to get more money.

I doubt your career is as short as a footballers is. Do you really think every single player that has joined us has done it for the love of the club and not the money?

 

Good luck to the lad. He's probably doubled his salary at least. He isn't the problem here.

 

If they can afford it let them do it but as we know it doesn’t always work I am sure those players at Salford not getting that type of money will be thrilled. Great for team spirit
