    Interesting afternoon.

    After we dropped daughter off for her horse riding we went into Allendale Town. Gorgeous stone village.

    I wanted to pop to the Allendale Brew Co. First, I went to look at the church, as I like looking at old church buildings...

    Standing there I heard someone shouting help and a little boy appeared, aged about 7. He emerged from what turned out to be a near vertical drop of about forty feet at the back of the church. Somehow, his friend had managed to climb down it and then back up the other side before getting stuck.

    Got mechanics from the local garage to help, while Mrs H tried to find a parent. Managed to get him rescued after about half an hour. Quite scary, but thankfully all okay.
