Sheff Weds look to be brining in Billy Mitchell from Millwall. Amazed at that one, Mitchell is a home grown Millwall player, fan of the club as a boy and through their academy. The noise is that they tried low-balling him with a few contract offers at the end of the season and he's just turned them all down wanting more. He has turned down their 3rd contract offer this week and looks to have chosen to sign for Wednesday instead.

 

with a name like Billy Mitchell he should really be playing at one of the London clubs! (that will fly over the heads of those who've never watched Eastenders!)

Not a great amount of transfer activity through the weekend but Leicester look to be selling Fatawu to Ipswich for £20m. Mitchell to Sheff Weds confirmed too.

 

The dogs have signed Dutch winger Derensili Sanches Fernandes from top division side Excelsior for an undisclosed fee.
My search suggests he is valued around the €900k mark.

Not really any L1 incomings over the weekend apart from Stevenage re-signing defender Terence Vancooten from Burton. He played there for 5 years before joining Burton in 2024.

 

Does that tell us anything about Metcalfe’s supposed value then?

 

Most teams will have already formed the bulk of their squads and almost completed pre-season together. Don’t think we’ll see any major incomings until the PL clubs release their kids on loan.

Sounds like Peterborough are bringing in winger Abdul Abdulmalik. The former Millwall player notched 21 goal involvements for Borehamwood in the National League last season. Sounded like he was linked to everyone in L1 about a month back. But Posh make sense for a young lad who's done well in the NL, literally their interview could be "look at Lisbie going for millions this week, that could be you".
