Cant see it to be honest. Heneghan turns 33 soon and he struggled to get into the worst side in the league last season. Feels to me like it could be a waste of a move? Unless he's on peanuts, he'd be like 5th 6th choice in the defence.

We had a few last summer, guys of an age who we gave the once over to in Jack Hunt, Wildshcut and Magloire but none were good enough for L1 last season.

 

Looks like we might be seeing Louie Barry once again in L1, Sheff Weds reporter has said that they are looking at a permanent deal for him.

 

Wouldn't mind us using the metcalfe money on this. No chance of happening though he's a class player when at his best.

 

Medicals for Louie Barry, Harry Gray (loan) and Barry Bannan happening in the next few days at Weds. Looks like they are going down the "throw a fudge tonne of money at it" approach from their signings already and the ones in the pipeline.

 

So no spending restrictions for them, just throwing money at it after traders lose out under the sale agreement
If they have money for such signings, then more should have been given to creditors

He was needed to make the numbers up on Saturday due to the injuries to Baldwin and Wright. I don't think there's anything more to it than that tbh.

 

How much are they talking for Barry? I’d imagine we’d need to spend our cut of the whole of the Metcalfe fee to get Barry, cant see him being cheap

Sounds like it's a very back ended agreement. Given they agreed a £3.5m fee for him last summer with Hull, he had a lesser L1 season last year, maybe a low 7 figure up front fee with a fair amount of add-ons.

 

Week 2 of the PFA free agents camp. Few ex City names on there.

 

Think that shows the lack of decent quality free transfers this year , last few seasons there’s been some really good quality there.
