He’s shit isn’t he? I watch a football vlogger called pie face who’s a Plymouth fan and every week they had bets if he could even have a shot on target. They said he tries that was about the biggest compliment they could give him.

Positions combined with that overview... sounds like Gareth Evans.

Mansfield still trying to do a deal for Preston's Michael Smith who we were linked with earlier this summer.

Personally, i wouldnt mind us going in for him to provide competition for Jake Beesley. Would be a far better option than risking Nick Powell who we have still to decide whether to offer a new contract as GA wants more time to assess in pre season.

If he was a couple of years younger I would probably agree but he will be 35 in October.

Not for me. Rather give Ibbitson a go and than a has being. We currently have Swan, Hump and Jackson as alternatives anyway and if we do bring one in, will probably be a loan.

I think we will bring in another striker but it will be a late window deal if Powell doesn't get a contract. It sounded like GA wants to have a look at Ibbitson this summer, but it's a long shot if he actually gets a proper chance in this team if we play 1 up top and he's 5th choice out of 5 at the minute, if Powell is here. I think Ibbi leaves on loan at some stage as being 5th choice here isn't going to do his career any good, and then it's either Powell or a new striker signs late on.

For what it's worth, Powell was on Sky Sports news this morning on a video call talking about Englands game about half hour/45 mins ago. Doesn't look like he'll be in training today unless he lives around the corner.

I still think either Swan or Humphrys will leave this window, probably more likely Swan as I think Humps wages might be a stumbling block if it's true he is one of the highest earners.

I dont think we can run it back with that striker core backing up Beesley. Humps, Swan and Powell were basically the strikers for the last 2/3 months when Wheatley had been given up on, and between them they probably got 3 or 4 goals from the last 15 or so games and i think they were all off the bench. None of them had any positive play from the start really other than the odd spell.

Out of the 2, I am keeping Humphrys. More versatile and when he is on it, he can be a match winner. Hopefully we see more of what he is capable of this season.

Neither are good enough, and aside from his early season form, Swan is least likely to stay.

Probably cheap (easy to offload), ideal for a lower league L1 or higher L2 club, and has a great work rate.

Credit to the club if they manage to offload Humphrys but can't see it. We have done him no favours pretending he's a striker, his goal return is nowhere near.

I much prefer Swan to Humps. It seems to depend what mood Humps is in that day as to what you’re going to get out of him. Maybe he will go out on loan like Leigh if there’s no takers for a permanent transfer.

The Swan of last August and September was great. Unfortunately he didn't stick around and I'm not sure if we'll see him again or not.
Humps obviously has the ability but unfortunately his attitude stinks to high heaven. He's lazy, disinterested and often selfish/greedy in his play, and he just doesn't feel like a city player to me.
I wouldn't be disappointed to see either of them leave.

Catching up on other teams: Kasey Palmer to Luton = very good. Hindolo Mustapha from Palace to Wigan on loan - is that the lad we were supposed to have in Jan?

To be fair to Swan, he's a baller not a target man and in the second half of the season he was expected to feed off defensive hoofs that bypassed midfield. He's not tall enough or strong enough to play that game, he excelled early season feeding off the high press. If we are gonna start the new season with the same high intensity as we did last, then I think he could be useful off the bench.
Regarding Humphries, he can be a match winner but 90% of the time he's a waste of a shirt.. get shut if we have the chance.

I think with the craft of Philips and physical presence of Beesley Humphrey might benefit

    Yes.
Luton allegedly paid 500k to Hull for Palmer.

I reckon Heneghan will be sticking around for the full preseason and I can see GA giving him a 12 month contract.

500k - would you rather have Kasey Palmer or Owen Bailey??? Appreciate wages need to be considered but on a pure fee level, I’d go for Palmer.
