What AI has gathered regarding Falkirk fans views of him...

Falkirk supporters view Henry Cartwright as a highly talented and hard-working midfielder who provided unforgettable moments, despite his role transforming into an impact substitute over the course of the 2025/26 season.

While fans generally hold him in high regard, views are slightly mixed regarding his consistency and his discipline in high-stakes matches.Following the conclusion of his season-long loan from Leicester City, Cartwright permanently transferred to English League Two side Bradford City.

Falkirk supporters evaluate his time at the Falkirk Stadium through several defining aspects:

Moments of Pure QualityThe Bairns' faithful remember Cartwright best for his ability to produce spectacular, crucial goals out of nowhere. He made 42 appearances across all competitions during the campaign:

The Rangers Equaliser: His most celebrated moment came in October 2025, when he came off the bench to score a stunning, long-range rocket into the top corner to secure a 1-1 draw against Rangers. The goal was widely lauded by fans as an absolute "screamer" and a season highlight.

The Motherwell Winner: In May 2026, he repeated his super-sub antics by scoring a crucial 1-0 winner against Motherwell moments after stepping onto the pitch. This kept Falkirk in a thrilling late-season hunt for a 5th-place finish and a potential European spot.

⚖️ Frustration over Lack of MinutesSupporters were often divided over manager John McGlynn's deployment of Cartwright.McGlynn originally targeted Cartwright to bring a "gritty, steely determination" to a physical Scottish Premiership. However, as the season progressed into 2026, Cartwright found himself locked out of the starting XI, largely restricted to short cameo appearances because the manager preferred his established central midfield partnership.

Many supporters vocalised that he deserved more starts, especially during winter goal droughts where the team lacked attacking spark.

The Hampden HeartbreakThe main blemish on his relationship with the support came during the Scottish Cup semi-finals against Dunfermline at Hampden Park. Cartwright was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for simulation late in the game. Falkirk went on to lose the subsequent penalty shootout, leaving a lingering sense of frustration among fans regarding his decision-making in that pivotal moment.

Overall, Falkirk fans view Cartwright as a player with massive potential who embraced the club’s culture and "family feel". While his final months were defined by a lack of regular game time, he left Scotland with the genuine respect of the Bairns support for his high-intensity work ethic and unforgettable goals.

Just wonder why Leicester are letting him go considering they are our level and are supposedly cutting their cloth accordingly
