Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

For every player that does what Metcalfe has done, I would hazard a guess there are at least 5 times the amount that end up around the lower leagues in the same amount of time.

 

Kamil Conteh is joining an unnamed league one club

 

Either in January or last Summer, can’t remember which, I was told on good authority we were very interested in him but wouldn’t cough up what they wanted. Can’t remember if it was loan or permanent.

Might not be us this time around, but given half their squad are from us, maybe given us some leverage?

He’s meant to be highly sought after, although I’ve no clue how good he actually is, so there’ll probably be some bigger payers who can go in for him no questions asked.

Certainly would be a solution to midfield woes though!

 

Langstaff has signed for Salford. Undisclosed fee but Millwall are allegedly recouping almost what they paid for him from Notts County. How the hell are Salford affording that, and his considerable wages, with these new FFP rules?

 

Unbelievable signing, that. Not sure why they sacked Robinson, but they’ll be favourites for promotion regardless you’d imagine?

No I don’t think it was a mistake by anyone other common sense . He was not going to play for Everton for sure , likewise Leeds selling Gray for £25-30m was a howler . Was there a money issue at the time that forced their hand?

 

It certainly is unrealistic for sure , can you think of another midfielder in recent seasons ? I’m struggling Jon.

What a guess that would be! Although I would imagine he’ll have more glamorous offers than Bromley, comfortably.

Funnily enough I’ve seen a few people talking about Jude Arthurs too, I didn’t even know who he was until seeing Bromley’s post about him

 

League 2 clubs voted against the new regulations so their regulations are what they have been for the last couple of years. Even with the new rules for Championship and League 1 they are easy to get around if the owners are prepared to fund it, all that has changed is they have to put in a bit more than what they did before.

 

Kamara was eligible for Sierra Leone through his dad.
