We have watched him playing CM, from the T&A this morning. Alexander "It’s not like we’re reinventing him and he’s never played there. He’s played it in the Championship and I’ve watched those games."

 

Have we looked at his MOM awards, and whether he was playing CM or CB on those times?

 

I'll reserve judgement but it has a whiff of a cheap option trying to plug a hole does this one. Hope he turns out to be an inspired signing though.

As I said I am not arguing about anything just stating what the manager and in particular what the players says which is his best position is holding midfielder and that he was played out of position at Stockport.so I don’t need to quote stats other than he had plenty of games in the championship at Ipswich and Blackpool in midfield

Exactly. How many people here have seen enough of Connolly to know where he’s best placed. I certainly haven’t. I’ll leave it to the judgment of the manager who played 1000 games and has managed 500.
