    So, after the very good signing of Gillesphey announced today to strengthen our centre back options, which positions do we still need filling.

    Personally think we need RWB cover, Ashby maybe?

    I would still like to see another centre back brought in

    2 central midfielders, still whispers that we are interested in Owen Bailey, but I think he is out of our range financially with other clubs also in the frame. No idea on anyone else we may be targeting.

    Unless any other player leaves, thats probably it other than perhaps a loan striker to provide cover?

    I don’t know much about the lad from Charlton but he seems like he will do ok. I don’t think he comes with a glowing reference from their fans but is a decent replacement for Tilt who wanted to leave.
    Midfield now has to be priority. We still need 3 CMs to come in and soon.

    Yeh we need a big one to replace Power and then another speculative signing to accompany him.

    Id take a look at Ashby returning, thorough medical needed though!

    Not sure on another CB. We have 4, Connolly who will probably end up back there and Touray as an option. Id prefer 3 CMs.

    Sharpe said it was a priority and GA said we have a couple of irons in the fire and another he was talking to this week. I think we get one in before Saturday.

    Away shirt launch this week so hopefully a CM is wearing it!

    I am not convinced with Pennington and Joe Wright as first choices going into a new season and looking to progress further, so my thinking is an upgrade if possible, to play alongside Baldwin and Gillesphey.

    I dont mind Wright but I think once we get 2-3 CMs in, and proper ones at that, Connolly will only find game time at CB and he could be that middle man.

    Wishful thinking. I hate all this CM talk!

    Joe Wright gets a massive disservice from our fans, hes head and shoulders our best defender in regards of actual defending. He may not be the greatest at passing the ball out and doing the tippy tappy shit modern football requires but that lad will tackle and put his head on and clear 99% of anything that goes near him. Had a terrible match away at Donny but unlike the rest of the defence who also had sticky patches he was the one who was thrown under the bus a bit. First name in that defence for me
