Well thought of at Plymouth and Charlton, has had recent success in the Championship and is at a good age too.

A clear upgrade on Tilt.

Welcome aboard. Seems like someone who’s a lot more comfortable with the ball at his feet than Tilt and Kelly. I was crying out for better distribution last season, hopefully one or two more to come.

 

Takes a decent free kick as well. Maybe he can get on corners too?

 

Seems like a player who is better with the ball at the feet, maybe questionable at actual defensive contributions at CH level but his L1 stats are pretty good defensively. But his distribution sounds like the selling point. Statistically, him and Baldwin are incredibly similar on the ball, literally a left footed version.

Certainly an upgrade on Tilt & Kelly. Looks like he's slotted into LB in a back 4 a few times too in his career. Long balls r us next season with those two either side, i'm guessing Joe Wright? and Beesley, Neufville, Tyreik and the AMs getting some yards in chasing.

Nice to have a player who can take free kicks - hopefully with positive outcomes for City.

 

Looks a good signing. His stats from his last L1 season are among the best and he's been promoted twice from this level before. Also quite notably he like a diagonal switch of play so it'll be nice to have two players who can hit those as opposed to just Baldwin.

 

The only knock i'd say that keeps getting brought up by Charlton fans is that he is a slow defender from the sounds of it. 'Milk turns quicker' type of comments are on there a fair few times. Some say thats the main thing as to why he looked a bit out his depth the level above, the speed of the CH was just too much for him.

I suppose on a narrow VP pitch we shouldnt have too many worries with covering central CB and the LWB dropping deep to help out, will be naturally deeper if it's Touray. If we switch to a back 4, him and Baldwin spraying with an extra body up there might be an option, Touray playing a more natural LB role too. Options!

 

“ On paper” that’s turning into a great back three but at least one more additional cover required .

Reading up on his time in the Championship it seems like he went from being shite to outstanding almost overnight.

Considering the massive gulf between the two divisions, the fact that he’s proven he can perform against a higher calibre of player as recently as last year can only be seen as a positive

Well done to all at the club for signing a proven player at this level and one who doesnt seem to have done too bad in the Championship.and indeed was still contracted to a Championship club.
