Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

I'm not against trying to add some youth and pace into the team really. We seemed to field the oldest team in L1 a fair number of weeks last season, especially in the first half of it.

As long as we find good replacements, I really dont mind us going younger. Would love more pace across the team though. We looked like we moved like an oil tanker at times at the tail end of the season.

 

Thats a disservice to Curtis, he made 35 appearances for us and we finished 4th in league 1, how is he L2 at best? Yes he had some off games but was a very good signing for us, don't get me wrong getting a fee for him at his age is good business but by no means is he L2 at best.

 

Good move for everyone, he did a good job last season but we can upgrade on him. He gets a 2 year deal and Burton get a solid defender with experience.

With Power and Tilt going our yellow card count will go from one of the highest to lowest in the league.

 

Tilt is certainly upgradable and I wouldn't have wanted him starting next season. That said, I would've kept him as part of the squad as I'm not too keen on a total rebuild of the squad.

Is it a fake ?.

 

I never said he was a bad signing, I actually said quite the opposite. His ability is L2 at best. If they plan to play nononse defending and hoofing the ball up, then he's a good signing for them

 

I got the impression after the Bolton play off games Tilt and Alexander didn't see eye to eye

 

Don't think any one predicted him to leave quite a shock.

 

That's fair comment, but he was pretty consistent up until his injury, I can certainty remember him getting at least one MOTM awards, good luck to him just what we needed at the back, and we got money for him some decent negotiations going on at the moment at Valley Parade.

 

Best of luck to Tilt, his form collapsed towards the end of the season, but he may be able to refind it. I always found it a bit unusual how he'd never celebrate a goal and would just walk off alone, only a small thing, but it didn't look great for team spirit. Anyway, I wouldn't have been against him staying as backup, but we can certainly upgrade on him.

 

Could this be a make weight in Webster coming the other way ?.

 

Hopefully, it means we are going for defenders who are a bit more comfortable with the ball at their feet. Bolton showed in the playoffs how to get the ball forward quickly to the forwards, not regularly giving the ball back.
