Don't be daft Ricky you share what you believe to have credibility as you've had information in the past that was accurate, as with myself and I would hope many who have posted in this "rumours thread" they are not posted to get a rise.

 

Behave Ricky, don't text your sourse whilst they are on holiday to pacify a few posters on here, ffs sake they need to get a grip.

 

Good we've got a youngish GK in. At 26, he's got a decade in him, and will have resale value. Performed well last season, got over 100 first team appearances under his belt at a similar/slightly higher level. Can't complain at all.

As much as the slow pace of the signings has been frustrating, they all look good on paper so far. I'd much rather a slow and steady intake of quality players over the next few weeks, than a rush of mediocrity to get bodies in.

I'm pretty confident that come August, we'll have a team that is improved (in theory at least) in every area of the pitch.

 

Apparently, Brad told him that he was a legend here. McCracken said he asked around a few people and they said they'd never heard of him

Very good signing, as you say especially at 26.

 

So far I’m really impressed with the signings we’ve made. It may have been a slower window than in previous years but the recruitment feels much more considered. If we can add a few more players of this calibre, I think we’ve got every chance of having another very good season.

 

Definitely - no one would admit on a public forum that they play paddle

 

Honestly, the stuff i've read on this thread. It's sunny and the world cup is on. Might just be me but I'm not that bothered if someone signs today, tomorrow or in three weeks time.

I'm thinking similar. But also with the recruitment team we have now, and not being hampered by sustainability, I have a lot more faith in the team to recruit well. The last few summers have all been good, sure, January wasn't, but it's not a time to build a team. We were just padding the squad out, and it failed. I'm sure they continue to learn as a team. This isn't Gent and Hughes on a shoestring anymore; let them get on with it and wait to see what comes from it.

 

In terms of time span our recruitment team haven't been in the job that long when you consider they will be planning ahead on future targets for the next closed season etc, it seems David Sharpe knows his onions.

 

Just to add, seems like he has a cracken sense of humour, his dog is actually called Phil!

 

I see we already have an entry for the player most likely to have his name misspelt on Bantamtalk.
