    I still think Big Sam will start as number 1. My point was if we brought in a premiership loan player, they would have started as number 1.

    Hopefully if he does come in, he provides stiffer competition than Hilton ever did.

    Pretty sure in GAs mind the slate will be clean and whoever impresses the most in pre season and training will start the first game.

    GA obviously has doubts over Walker, like alot of us do after last season. At 35 he isnt getting any better either.

    Jon McCraken is very astute signing by Sharpe and co. He was one of the best goalkeepers in the SPL with a save percentage of 70%. Many Scotland fans were upset he didn't make it into their World Cup squad. Celtic were rumoured to be interested as recently as the end of April. He will most definitely come in as the Number 1. Big Sam will have to fight for that first place and thats a big benefit to us as a football club as both keepers will be competing for the main spot.

    I don't think Walker is guaranteed to start the first game of the season and nor should he be. If he performs the best out of whatever our keeper options are during pre season then fair enough, he keeps the shirt but if whoever the newby is does better, Sam should be on the bench.

    No one can dispute Walker has played a big part in our success but if we want to push on further we need better and that's just part and parcel of football.

    If this signing does come off I fully expect him as no.1 ahead of walker.

    I agree. I wonder whether we were ever actually in for Young afterall, or maybe GA didnt want to trust a young one?

    I was expecting Brad Collins to come in actually from Coventry, so McCracken is one out of the blue

    Well when you put it like that, this sounds like another very good signing to compliment the 2 we have announced.

    If Celtic, QPR and Sheff Wed have shown interest then he can't be half bad. Get this over the line please City.

    He’s not actually signing “from” Dundee. He was released so he’s a free agent.
