I would say £2m is right but I thought 30% was the sell on fee either way £1.2-£1.4m profit is pretty good in a year

If we are getting £2m net £1.2m for Jensen then thats good business. Really sad to see Young players depart but hopefully we have a significant sell on clause. £1.2m to invest at our level could be a real positive. Metcalfe has a season of work behind him. For sure his ceiling is high and I genuinely wish him the very best but its one season. We need to invest this money well!

 

Phillips comes across as more of a Pattison replacement than a replacement for Leigh or Metcalfe

 

It's a tough one really.

We lost £3m last season in L2 and lets face it, losing another £3m in L1 is highly likely. So making let's say for arguments sake £1m after everything is levelled with Everton should be seen as great business. But do we bank that profit to try make the books look nicer? Or do we spend a few hundred of it to try find the next young lads to sell on?

 

Let's say for arguments sake we get £1.2m for Metcalfe and £150k for power all rumoured obviously and then we bought Beesley for £250k and Phillips £300k again both rumoured prices we have £800k or thereabouts still available which is easily could be spent on another 2/3 quality players at this level.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have 1 or 2 more of the metcalfe/ Pointon mould lined up
