Phillips would be a top signing - one of the most productive AMs in the division. Looks like we're addressing the lack of goalscorers, but I hope this doesn't mean Metcalfe is off...

 

Definitely a positive signing if Phillips signs, and hopefully a signing that shows others we're interested in that we're looming to improve on last season.

 

Be a very good signing this and showing intent to build on last season.

I must admit I didnt think we would be able to pay the kind of fee Barnsley would command.

Barnsley fans seem to think done deal.

Right on the nose in terms of what I was asking for - no longer accepting Barnsley cast offs as 'progress', and I guess going and signing their star players instead is huge.

 

Could mean the end of Sarcevic.

 

We've gone from signing releasees like Clarke Oduor and players like Humphrys who they could have extended with an option for a second year but chose not to - instead low-balling him and letting him leave for free.

Neither are the calibre of players we should be signing if we want to move forward

 

I actually remember this lad from the last time we played them in April and I thought he was excellent that day.

 

I can’t see that, he’s a huge player for us - on and off the pitch

What it would mean though is when we don’t have Pointon, Sarcevic etc…..we have a better level of player

Which ever combination we pick we need to maintain standards of our strongest eleven (or improve) and this would be a big contributor to doing that

I think it would compliment Sarc, not replace

 

This is me spitballing out loud, I reckon 150k we got for Max Power and Phillips will cost us maybe 400k?

Wonder if we're selling anyone else.
