    I dont get how we could have announced the Jake Beesley signing prior to today. What does 'transfer window open today' actually mean?

    Contracts also run to last day of June.

    I think contracts have always ended at the end of June. Like you say, the window doesn't open on a fixed date every year so it would be impossible to match the two things up.

    A pre contract, contract, same as with Power signing for Wigan. They both only become official from today.

    Park's version of stability is Drury telling the fan base there was no chance of us going down, only to end bottom by miles. That is certainly a stabilising effect, a bit like having Trump and Putin locked in a room with big red buttons.

    He’s admitted he has no inside information and just talking about rumoured players. He’s on his own for two weeks as Simon Parker is on holiday and he has to find something to talk about regarding City every day, something Nathan Atkinson and Simon Parker’s predecessors David Markham and Don Aldred never had to do as the T&A had little about City in the close season in their era.

    June 30th fella. Plus its utterely irrelevant anyway as you can negotiate and pre-sign elsewhere before it expires. New contract just starts on July 1st.

    You are right about Markham , Aldred and pre Social Media days …..absolutely zilch during the close season . It was painful!

    It means he's now officially our player but prior to that he was going to sign for us but wasn't technically our player. You can purchase a house but you can't move in until the transfer window officially opens. If contracts run to the end of June we can't sign them on a freebie without permission from their club.

    He pre-signed (start June 15th), was announced and now the window is open he is officially our player. We take over his contract.

    Fletcher has signed for Huddersfield but Blackpool will still be paying him until June 30th when his contract expires.

    Yes....its reaching.

    Not too keen on that signing so hopefully nothing in it. There are 3 or 4 names been thrown about that wet the appetite far more than him. That said, we need at least 2 CM's. Possibly another if/when Leigh departs.

    On Phillips, I did ask Bradford End for updates on 3 players - he gave us updates on Elder and Cadamarteri but casually ignored Phillips. Hopefully he is sworn to secrecy on that :D
