    It was a habit when I worked in France 95/96 we'd eat around 7, finish around 9 and then pop into one of the two nearby villages, sit in the square while a couple of beers were taken, or in my case a chilled rose diluted 50/50 with water.

    I would have gone for a small 125ml chilled glass of Rosé wine….and a glass of iced water on the side!
