Summer 26 Transfer Rumours

Last season pre-season started on 23rd June, 6 of the 11 summer signings were in by them, another 2 were confirmed within the next week. Only Metcalfe, Powell and McIntyre joined in the summer window after 1st July and after the first friendly on 5th July.

 

We don't have enough technically gifted players to break teams down through the middle. I really hope we bring at least 2 in, but that will probably cost.

 

Online rumour - City chasing Sheffield Utd 21 year old midfielder Alex Matos.

Had loan spells at Huddersfield and Oxford Utd previously.

Presume this would be a loan signing as signed 3 year contract last year after signing from Chelsea

 

Same source also saying MK Dons are interested in Callum Elder.

Getting mightily razzed with the 14 year old dreamers all over face book . Luton and MkD are buying every player under the sun, contracted or not. They will end up with a squad of 50 apiece at this rate

 

Throwing money at it hoping it sticks.

 

They're bored bless 'em. Crap weather, world cup games on after their bedtime, they've got nothing better to do to amuse themselves than make up daft rumours.

 

Very good player. Injury record would be a big red flag for me though

Nathan Atkinson today in the T&A discussing the pros and cons of signing Sam Morsy.

He did the same with Matty Young last week.

Either he is picking players dominating the rumours or he knows something?. I suspect the former

 

Perhaps it’s a prelude to signing them to keep fans “ interested” during the lull of “ nothingness” . Pretty busy this week as players return from hols etc . He could write a synopsis on hundreds of players , yet why theses two?

 

Contracts end today so there should be action this week

 

You sure about that Park? I think you'll find it's the end of the month that contacts end and today is actually when the transfer window officially opens.

 

I thought the transfer window varied season on season . Contracts wouldn’t vary to match surely if the dates were’nt known in advance . Just a thought?
