Born in Bingley. Lived in Denholme and Burley in Wharfedale before my job took me to Scotland in 1977.
First City match was in 1958.
Before pcs and mobile phones were invented my parents used to post me monthly bundles of the pink Yorkshire Sports newspaper and T&A City clippings.
    Lived in Edinburgh since 1987.
We only get down to Valley Parade 2 or 3 times a season now but are always at the emotional final home league match.
Sky + coverage has been a boon for those of us living away from West Yorkshire

As a fair few have added bits to their history, may as well add to mine.

I started going in 1966. A friend said, I go to city, you love football, want to come along.

No family interest in football at all, but I loved the game. We were young unaccompanied kids, but loved it all.

Use to call in to see my Nan on Bertram Road before the games!

By the early 1970’s it was all becoming a little ‘tumultuous’. As I went off to Manchester, it was a long hike and I lost touch with guys I use to go with.

In the early 80’s with a partner and then wife, who liked football we started going together. The fire was the next turning point.

We had regularly sat in the old Main Stand. We were in Scotland the day of the fire. As my oldest was born in August 1985, if we had been at the game, there is a good chance l wouldn’t be typing this now!

A long lapse. My oldest developed an interest in football. Without me knowing she watched Football Italia!

By 1994, she was an avid football fan. I bumped into an old friend from Shipley (in a Supermarket in Rochdale of all places). In discussing football and my daughter’s love of the game, she told me about Richmond’s Kids for a Quid option.

I had been to Old Trafford a few times, but it was impossible to get seats together. So why not go to VP!

I thought she would last 40 minutes. TOTALLY WRONG! She loved it.

Within four seasons we went to an increasing number of games and were season ticket holders. My younger daughter, perhaps not as enthusiastic still bought into it. Add on my mate (the Man U fan) had two lads. They came and loved it! They are now season ticket holders!

I also bumped into a couple of old friends from the 70’s, and have made a number of other good friends, plus an old school friend coming.

Last trip to Wembley, we booked a pub and there were through “friends and family’ links about 50 of us.

Oldest daughter moved to SanFrancisco (where I am at the moment) in 2019. So let her season ticket go. However she has an I-Follow Season Pass, and gets up at 7.30 a.m. to watch every match! Youngest is in London, but loves coming to games when she is up, and we go to the London matches together.

Both Son-in-laws like coming to a game. I am now preparing for the grandson to get the bug, in opposition to Spurs!

Born in London, moved to Chelmsford in Essex in the late 60's. Dad took us to Chelmsford City a few times. Youngest brother a die hard Ipswich fan - the choice was a London team or Ipswich who were flying at that time. His children and ex wife are die hard West Ham. Other brother lives in Benfleet and is an armchair Hammers fan. Sister's partner is Arsenal. So I am the only City fan from my side of the family aside from our son.
Moved to Shipley in the 80's, and like @Bigrod@Bigrod who returned to watching City, my first introduction to City was the kid for a quid scheme. OH from Leeds but not a big football fan, he has been to a handful of matches with me.
Bought season tickets in Midland Road in 1996 with my son and daughter. Daughter only came because her friend did, no interest in football, but son and I still sit in the same Midland Road seats. Used to travel away as well but I don't now for various reasons.
Before I supported City I had seen Chelmsford City and Everton and Liverpool (at Uni in Liverpool) but City were the only team to claim my support.

Born in West Bowling, in the sixties brought in in Parkside, Moved to Bradford Moor in my early 20s. Now live in the Cleckheaton area. My first match City was 1976 at 10 years old once a teenager I went often with my mates, but stopped going mid 80s but went to the odd game now and then, but always kept an eye on the results. Now me and the wife are devoted City fans and follow them as much as possible to the extent we plan around the matches.

Only saw one season before moving to France 2004. Been here in Limousin ever since. Kids are City mad and granddaughter going same way. Born in Wrose, lived in Bradford nearly all my life pretty unimaginative really. Now in Queensbury which is close enough to claim as Halifax. Dad took me to handful of games but wasn't really a football fan although he did frequent both Park Ave and City as a kid as he lived in Listerhills.
Started going mid 80s with local lads i went to school with, stuck with it on and off ever since. Had a hiatus when my lad was born for a few years mid 2000s, to be honest i'd fallen out of love with football.
Came back when i judged my lad was old enough, been going ever since. The end.

Born in Bradford where I lived until retirement mainly in the Thornton area. Now living on the east coast. I come from a family of Avenue supporters but for some reason my brother took my to VP in 1958 for a vital game and I caught the bug.
The trip over is a big bind but it is shared and only incapacity would stop me coming

Born in St Luke’s in 73’. Lived on Manchester Road and then up to Little Horton. Moved away to East Yorkshire while quite young due to Dad’s work and ultimately ended up in Goole. It was either Liverpool or Man Utd for most people at school in the 80s followed by Leeds and the odd Hull fan. I never deviated from City - once I started working p/time while at school and had money, I got the train across and was following avidly from the late 80s onwards. I got the odd mate to come occasionally but it was mainly me, myself and I. Down South (Wycombe and Oxford) since 97’ but get to games home and away when I can - 3 kids come along sometimes and if asked, they’d declare City as their time - spread the legacy!

Born in Liverpool in 1970 to a deeply red family.
Moved to Bradford in 1976, and went to my first game at VP a few months later, becoming a fan in the process even though my family team went on to win the European cup the next year...

I then lived in Clayton, Lidget Green, Wakefield, Lidget Green again, South Elmsall and Baildon, before moving to very rural Cheshire in 2024 where I now reside as an exile. I'm still a season ticket holder, making the journey by train every Saturday and as often as I can midweek, hotel prices and work notwithstanding. Most of the people in my social and family circles are Liverpool, Man U and Man City, with one odd Tranmere fan in the mix. However I have seen a few fellow Cheshire Bantams on my travels, including one plucky fella using his free bus pass from Chester to Bradford!

I did once get interviewed live on Sky Sports News in the rain the day we nearly went out of business, my claim to fame other than being sat behind the kid that won not one, but two football magazine face in the crowd competitions following the historic win at Molyneux in May 99!! Lucky git!!

(I've only ever lurked on this account as I set it up when I was drunk and misspelt my preferred username, it should be Bantamzen, in honour of the Dali Lama visiting Bradford in 2013 and being given a City shirt. I've never been able to figure out how to change it! So if any mods happen to chance upon this post, is there a way to do that?)

Grew up in Bradford, first game was 1996/97. Had a season ticket with my dad and then mates for about 15 years. Moved to Farsley in my early 20’s went to games a bit more sporadically. Lived in Peterborough last 10years and only get to a couple of city games each year now.
Season ticket holder at Peterborough Sports now, but watch City via ‘means’ on the internet when not at Sports

    Born in Airedale 1986.

Adopted and lived in Guiseley/Yeadon til I was mid twenties.
Now live in Farsley, which is a hot bed of a mix of Leeds and City.

Supported City since early 2000's. Dad wasn't a football fan so picking a club and stuff was a mess. I have also followed Guiseley too, although that for certain reasons is not a thing anymore. I used to go with the Shipley Bantams when they first started.

Born in Glastonbury, and no,the festival had not started in 1947. Moved to Birstall when I was three,as my dad came from there. He was a strong Huddersfield supporter, and I went with him for a while, but it was cheap to watch football in those days, and I went to matches at Leeds,Halifax,Avenue, before ending up at VP,where, although the team and ground weren't up to much,I felt very much at home, there was a sort of dark humour that I liked. The rest as they say is history.I have lived in Cleckheaton since I got married ,so not too far away.

Born 1958 St Lukes. Grew up in West Bowling (West is Best). Off to join the RN 1974 only did 6 years in the Andrew but didn't return to Yorkshire until 2017. Worked/Lived in the City, London, then around the world in 30 years, Asia, Australia and the US. As I was a West Bowling boy Bradford PA was the original team of choice. Started going over to City in 1970and for my sins haven't managed to shake them off :)

Born 1961 in Great Horton, so on location should have been an Avenue fan. However my older brother was taken to watch City by our uncle Harry who lived in Whetley hill and was died in the wool city fan. So my brother used to take me to city in the early 70s. He then went to Durham university and I would get the train up and meet him for games at Darlington and Hartlepool.
In around 2008 we started attending together again and have had season tickets since, however last year he suffered a stroke and missed the final game against Fleetwood. He renewed his season ticket again last season but didn't manage to attend any games as he is still wheelchair bound. I travelled over to Selby to watch away games on TV with him once he returned home after 6 months in hospital. We're hoping He will one day be fit enough to travel to VP again in the future
