Is that a problem? Pickford was 19 whilst at VP wasn’t he ? Let’s have some honesty about Walker perhaps?

 

I remember Dempsey during his days at what was a well funded Fleetwood team and he always impressed. Not sure what he's like these days but he seemed pretty mobile back then.

He was outstanding for Salford and at 19 he has 64 appearances to his name

 

He doesn't care for night club bouncers. A meeting with one caused him to wear an ankle bracelet.

 

He featured 33 times for Bolton last season, so hopefully he is over his injuries

 

I don't think Walker will accept it.He will think,quite rightly,that he is good enough to be number 1somewhere,and he will be off.

Yep, that's what I picked up from looking at his appearances last season.

 

It makes me laugh,in his interview in the Yorkshire post Fletcher says he’s joined Huddersfield because he likes their style of play. It’s more their style of pay I would imagine.

 

I think Fletcher will be a good fit for town. I like Martin Drury I think he did a great steadying job for us in difficult circumstances and I think along with Stead will take them close.

 

2 wins in 7 and a towelling at home by Mansfield with essentially the same squad Park isn’t really something to shout about ? Fletcher and Radulavic are cover for each other and their two forwards are May and Taylor who it seems wants away yet three years left on really daft money . A strange club for me. Why are rookie managers their thing?

 

Distribution looks decent on these highlights , not afraid to come out of the box, not afraid to command his box , three attributes Walker lacks imho.

 

If we think he's good enough then age doesn't matter. As long as Walker is ok with accepting the situation I think it's a good situation to be in. We know that Walker will be able to come in and do a job if Young needs taking out of the team due to form rather than needing to keep him in as the back up isn't up to it. Also if worst came and he got recalled by Sunderland for any reason then we know we have someone to cover immediately.

Young might only be 19 but he's nearly got 100 senior appearances to his name which is very good for a goalkeeper of his age.

If the move does happen I think it's an interesting decision from Sunderland as I'm sure there would have been a lot of other league 1 clubs who take him and guarantee he is number 1 so they must want him to be fighting for a position rather than wanting guaranteed minutes.

 

So... that's 'udders relegated then.

 

As a few of their fans have mentioned on X - they don't really know what their style of play is.

Blackpool fans seem consistent on one thing - he can't jump and doesn't win headers.

He strikes me as a decent league one striker but for a team looking to go up, is he going to get 20 goals and be able to play matches in the championship the season after? Seems unlikely.
