Well we are still 1 striker down from end of season, so why not another striker. I reckon a young loanee will be brought in at some point this summer.

Weaker in numbers, up in quality (i hope) but just one injury away from been back to where we finished last season. It would be irresponsible if Beesley is our only attacking addition.

City haven't announced the kids who have gotten pro deals yet - maybe 1 or 2 diamonds in the rough that can take a shirt in the squad :)

Steady away and never let us down
Apparently only picked up two yellows over the past two seasons .I know he was not a regular starter, but that is good discipline, especially for a centre half

if we had any that were really promising, we would have moved them on already
City and developing youngsters like hens teeth, or rocking horse poop
We have Bobby, so at least another 4 season before we see one start regular for the first team.

Not entirely true Andy , all the really promising ones are sold to big clubs. Sparks indicated it had to be part of our business model . I think 24/25 was the last season where decent income was generated that way . Up until then it was highly lucrative .

A good chance of another promotion for them there.

I mentioned him to @Bronco@Bronco last week word as it we asked about his availability in Jan when we signed Ashby and White on loan but Newcastle didn't want him to leave at that time

Well, we finished above three of those in the normal league season so we can't be doing too badly.

I know it's been rumoured for weeks but still not seen any thing official to confirm it.

I make Rovers and York my early L2 fancies. Dont see past Leicester in L1, they walk it IMO. West Ham and Wolves will be amongst it in the CH.

PL is probably hardest to predict nowadays.

Not sure that’s actually true. If you cast your mind back, Pattison hardly played and the middle two were either Power & Leigh or Power & Metcalfe. How many games do you think he started or played at the beginning of last season?

    .
It was Leigh, already been corrected. Pattison was in and around off the bench as was Metcalfe. But he didnt really find a regular start until December.

    So the point still stands.

All very true, but I’d argue it was the loss of Pointon & Sarcevic, rather than the pairing of Metcalfe & Power that contributed to those results. A better comparison would be, how many points per game did we collect when playing Metcalfe, Power, Sarcevic & Pointon?

I do get that, but at the end of the day, teams playing 3-4-3 (which we play), tend to have 2 anchor midfielders and good quality in the attacking 3 positions, plus competent wingbacks. When we had a fully fit Pointon & Sarce, we only lacked a consistent no9. Swann started well, but his form dropped and Humphrys was simply poor
