This is the thinking I’ve been crying out for years. He’s also the type of meaningful investment which could generate us more in the long term (sale or success on pitch). It’s that speculating to accumulate mindset which is totally absent from the club and has been since Richmond days.

 

After last season I can't imagine GA taking interests in loan players yet. Loan players usually come in, in late august.

I think there are better options out there.He went to pieces in the play off semi finals,and the final,it seemed he could not cope with the big occasion,so how would he fare at VP.It's a bit different from playing in front of a couple of thousand at Salford.

 

Wigan fans are talking about Nathan Lowe, looks like Stoke have told him he isnt in their plans going forward and they are after a perm move. Could be a go? Tough to judge his progression given he has a new loan spell every 6 months.

Spot on Tarty. Surely GA and staff can see that the system isn’t working if we have to keep sacrificing midfielders to help out the defence. We have to have a solid defence to start or an extra one in defence. During the later part of the season the we just couldn’t get good chances as the opposition marked our wing backs out of the game.

 

If anybody wants to be on the inside and act as a BantamTalk mole, then they can apply for the role of Billy Bantam or the Assistant Kit Manager, which are both advertised on LinkedIn...

 

Seen a lot of Stoke fans saying his level is probably league 2 due to his lack of pace.

 

It’s the extreme end of the scale and you know it. No one is asking for that. Other clubs have gone minutes from going out of business similar to us but don’t have this fear we do as a club. Pompey, Bolton, Wigan and Reading. These have bounced back spent money invested and in the main upwardly mobile. We still have this shadow over us and it’s self inflicted in my opinion. Club and fans have become so risk adverse.

I am afraid you're going to be deeply disappointed if you think we're in for another CF with Jackson & Hump on the books. Lose Swan and another and then maybe, but as it stands I wouldn't think our budget would stretch to be bringing in another CF of note.
It may pan out diferently as the window goes on, but at the moment I just cannot see that scenario
