I’d rather the back-up for Pointon be Wright. Humps can go for me. Not consistent enough for this level

I'm with you. Swan works hard - but so did Kav. Neither are good enough.

A little bit of spin from GA this morning on the January loan signings...they didnt play but they pushed the incumbent to lift their game to keep their shirt. And as expected we wont see any of them returning.

Yes absolutely, he won’t be able to buy players at the drop of a contract , since the owner has gone “ sustainable” .

I imagine that their "sustainable" budget is higher than ours. They have lost 1 player but reported to be signing a midfielder from Barnet who rejected MKD for £350K

5 years of progression. Done a superb job and after losing the cup final and play off final probably thinks he has taken as far as he can and wants a new challenge.

He wont be out of work for long.

They have a boat load in their squad on big deals who they are stuck with. They have to be funded. I think their owner isn’t willing to increase his “shirt sponsorship” or £50m losses thus far to the pro rata amount he has done for the last 6 seasons. Challenor or the DoF hasn’t left because they were bored. Time will tell . Twitter reporting is lost on me re transfer interest. Some strange goings on there Loz.

Good business in getting a money for a soon to be 33 year old who would have walked to Wigan on a free in 12 months anyway. But I don't think a club ever let's their captain go without a confident replacement either line up or already signed.

Reckon we'll start seeing more movement now players are coming back from their early holidays and his replacement will be revealed soon-ish.

Old news now. Forget about him. Concentrate on who is playing for us.

The stats suggest he was actually better than the naked eye gave him credit for but those last few months I felt he was very average and poor at times. I wont question his commitment on the pitch...but I wont miss his appalling set pieces either.

Its a blessing though because he was an automatic choice at CM as captain and clearly him and Metcalfe wernt 'great' together. A problem now solved as we can get someone in the middle with better legs and more attacking intent.

Be nice to stick one to Wigan by announcing Callum Wright later today!

To those on here that thought travel time would be a reason to the move then you were clearly wrong. Pretty much was the reason for his move, in his statement he says he's always lived near to the clubs training grounds and that 3 hours of travel a day wasn't feasible long term. Time is important for a lot of people especially if you have a young family, I respect his honesty.
