    Race Preview
    Now moved to May to pair with Miami, Montréal faces a unique challenge with cooler ambient temperatures. The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is famous for its heavy braking zones and "Wall of Champions." With the new MGU-K now capable of harvesting 8.5MJ per lap, the efficiency of energy recovery under braking at the final chicane will be the deciding factor. The 2026 cars—which are 10cm narrower—will find more room to breathe on this traditionally tight track. However, the reduction in fuel flow means that ICE efficiency is more important than ever. Drivers who can lift and coast effectively will have a significant battery advantage.

    I'm going to wrap the competition up. Unfortunately the API I was using for the data is playing up and I've spent the morning trying to fix it and it's still not working. With only 3 people entering last race spending more time on it just doesn't make sense and I can use the time better getting v2 of the prediction league framework up and running hopefully for the World Cup but certainly for next season

    It did cross my mind when I saw the decrease in participants simon, was a bit of fun even though I have minimal interest in f1. Fingers crossed for the world cup
