Think Wright has put some great crosses in that no one has attacked. Neufs puts so many in that now and then he is bound to get one right.

 

I’m struggling to recall him even though we have a name . Thanks though.

 

If we have a fully fit Bobby, a fully fit Tyreik Wright then the writing may be on the wall for Humps ? Where does he even fit?

They were working on the concept that ‘practice means perfect’ I am with @Faithful Bantam on this one. We might have put more into the box but the players couldn’t finish them. Most of the corners were the departing captains responsibility.

Yes but were most fired in at low level?.. just asking because we didn't seem to score a lot of headed goals.
Maybe the failed set-piece coach can do better as a crossing coach?

 

Yes the crosses were low level , pull backs , a ploy that seemed to come in last season , especially with Neuf . Isn’t that how Bobby started picking up goals , arriving late?

It certainly worked in the first half of the season yes.. we mostly reverted to hoofing it to midgets since December.

 

This is a good signing. I asked for proven quality in this window and 20 goals/assists for a struggling side is certainly that. Plenty more to be done but this is a positive start.

 

doesn't mean they connected though! Now we don't have Power, I can't see anyone who slings a decent ball into the box. Touray occasionally and Wright. Need more down that right hand side, especially from Neuville.

 

That's certainly one aspect to it but another more important one is that half the time, there wasnt anyone in the box to get on the end of them. Hopefully Beesley will be that player that's in the right place at the right time.

 

Yeah, let's hope he's James Hanson-esque.

 

Bobbys crosses will be meat and drink for Beesley. He rises like a salmon!

 

With the exception of Powell, who only played limited minutes at the back end of the season, none of our forwards were strong headers of the ball. So it’s highly likely that our wide players were encouraged to put low crosses into the box for the likes of Bobby, Sarce, Swan and Humphries to hit with their feet.
You would expect that to be mixed up a bit more this season if we have Beesley waiting in the middle.

 

With Beesley, Swan Jackson and Humpries on the books I can’t see another forward coming in unless one of Swan or Humps goes

 

I think the penny has dropped with GA and he’s finally realised he cant consider Humps as a striker. So the only strikers on our books are Beesley and Swan, so id imagine one more will come in

 

I’m sure there will be departures in some form of contracted players.
