Funnily enough I was told last year we were looking at Conteh but weren’t willing to pay the fee they wanted (can’t remember if that was the summer or January)

 

Conteh went on loan to Lincoln in the January window, yet only made his first start in the last game of the season. Not sure if injured or not?

Can't agree, mate. He was one of the only standout players from our time in League 2 when he was at Walsall against us, and I rarely remember an opposition player. He didn't get into the team as he was loaned out, where he also performed fantastically. He's an upgrade on Patto every day of the week. I'd bite your hand off to give him a shot.

Amazing how its not an issue when nobody else is in for them no doubt he will be another that will say he cannot wait to play at a proper training ground

Not arsed to be honest we need legs in midfield anyhow and he seemed to be way off the pace or simply bypassed when it mattered ..............nothing of note out of him during our iffy spell in Jan.

 

I don’t buy all this bollocks about the commute
Especially with the M62 coming straight out of Liverpool, it’s not as if he lives down south and he has to be clocking in at 7.30 and out at 5
He must have been buggered when playing abroad
I can understand though wanting to return to a club that is close to his heart

Most of the players mentioned since this thread started are probably targets for other clubs as well basically it’s just about who we might sign and who might be available

 

GS obviously doesn't talk about transfers before they happen, but unfortunately certain clubs who have received an offer for a player let this be known so that if any other clubs are interested they might come in with a better offer.

 

Charlie Goode has turned down Stevenages contract to sign for MK Dons, their fans thinking they've blown Stevenages offer out the water to sign for MK. Louis Sibley, who went missing somewhere a few months ago whilst on loan here is also seemingly signing for MK, guessing he worked with Warne before at Derby? Reckon a lot of the L1 Derby team will be linked to MK in the next month or two.

 

So a new set of long throw merchants to deal with What will Stevenage do now?

 

Go down? To be fair the last few seasons there has always been one side who got into the play offs and the season after either go down or are in a relegation scrap, i know our form for the last 6 months was very middle of the road but i think Steveange could really struggle if a lot of their top players head off.
