    We need a 9 and there aren’t many out there with a proven record so well chuffed with this. Nice and early also.

    Mark Bower questioned how suitable he is to last seasons style of play/formation on one of the previous podcasts. Be interesting to see how he fits in or if we tweak the shape

    Not sure any striker is suited to just holding the ball upfield. Beezley has a good skillset, hopefully we fully utilise that skillset

    He was top for duels won and 3rd for aerial duels won in L1 last season. Someone on the end of the hoofs at last!

    Reading up Burtons fans report on Beesley, they say his work rate will be hard to replace and he sounds like he has a pretty endless tank. Downside, his finishing is really patchy. Last season his 13 L1 goals came from 101 shots but he actually underperfomed his XG by a fair bit. Of his 101, 50 were from open play, unreal that half his efforts were from set pieces. With 49 of his 101 shots were from his head, he is very very much a target man. But as his finishing goes, he put 7 over the bar from inside the 6 yard box.

    Hopefully we can get someone who can put in a good set piece now!

    A goal every 3.5 games but did get a decent number of assists which clearly suggests he has good hold up play which is what we badly missed last season. Burton won’t have been the most expansive side so I’m hoping we can up the goal to game ratio.
